Duplex Steel Flanges 2205 are mainly made of chromium (22%), nickel (5–6%), and molybdenum (3%), and have a balanced ferritic-austenitic microstructure. The material is almost immune to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress-corrosion cracking. The tensile strength of these flanges is between 620 and 850 MPa and their yield strength is about 450–550 MPa. Such flanges retain excellent toughness, weldability, and stability even under conditions of extreme pressure and temperature, thus they are exceptionally mechanically strong and corrosion-resistant for use in tough industrial environments.
